WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

Minnesota has been on the losing end in their last three games (0-0-1-2) for their longest winless streak this season. The Frost have allowed 15 goals over the three games, the most allowed by any PWHL team over a three-game span this season.

Both Frost goals in their loss at Boston were at even strength. The Frost lead the PWHL with 41 even-strength goals this season but have also allowed a league-high 41 at even-strength. The Victoire have allowed a league-low 21.

Brooke McQuigge scored her fifth goal of the season in the loss to the Fleet. She leads all PWHL rookies in shooting percentage and ranks second among all skaters at 22.7% (minimum 20 shots). As a team, the Frost are second in shooting percentage (9.9%) behind the Victoire (10.4%).

Sophie Jaques, the PWHL Third Star of the Week, is on a three-game point streak (2G, 3A). Captain Kendall Coyne Schofield has also recorded points in three straight games (1G, 2A).

Taylor Heise isn’t the only member of her family in action tonight. Her brother Nate is a standout with the Iowa State Men’s Basketball team with the Cyclones hosting Colorado tonight in Ames, IA.  Additionally, her youngest sibling Ryan is a member of the Upper Iowa Peacocks (DII) squad.

Minnesota is on the longest road trip in team history, traveling more than 3,000 miles and visiting four cities (Toronto, Ottawa, Boston and Montréal) over the span of eleven days.

Montréal has won their last six games, including five in regulation time. Their last loss was against Minnesota on Jan. 12 in Denver, 4-2. The Victoire’s current six-game winning streak began with a victory over Minnesota in the succeeding game, Jan. 17. It is the longest winning streak by any PWHL team this season. Montréal has also won six straight home games and seven of eight so far this season.

Montréal scored a season-high six goals against the Sirens Saturday. The Victoire are undefeated when scoring three or more goals this season (6-3-0-0). The Victoire scored four first-period goals against the Sirens, which set a season-high for most goals in a period.

Erin Ambrose recorded three assists in her last meeting with the Frost. Ambrose is one of three defenders to record three or more points in a game this season along with today’s opponent Claire Thompson (who has a four-point game and a three-point game this season) and the Sceptres’ Renata Fast.

Captain Marie-Philip Poulin has scored at least one goal and received at least one penalty in her last two games.

Defender Mariah Keopple has scored a goal in each of her last two home games, the latest held as Saturday’s game-winner.

Goaltender Ann-Renée Desbiens hasn’t allowed more than two goals in her last nine starts. The last time it happened was on Dec. 4 against New York (3 goals against).

WHAT THEY’RE SAYING

“We need to play three full periods of good hockey. It’s been a long trip and we have had some real good moments but need to complete the job.” - Frost Head Coach Ken Klee.

“Being in first place, it's a nice feeling to know you're there, but it's on us as coaches to make sure that our process is the same regardless of whether we win games or we lose games, and that our process is the same with our players and preparing them the exact same way. Making sure we don't cut corners; we don't take a step back or step sideways.” - Victoire Head Coach Kori Cheverie.

TUESDAY’S GAME: This marks Montréal’s first Country Themed Night with fans invited to wear their best Western outfits. Country music will be heard throughout the evening with a playlist crafted by DJ Montana to create a country party atmosphere at Place Bell. Laurence St-Martin and Adamo will sing their hit song ‘Premier Rodéo’ during the first intermission. The Allboots troop will be hosting a line dancing session behind section 105 as soon as the doors open. The Canadian National Anthem will be played on the guitar.
