WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

Boston has three regulation wins and two shootout wins against New York this season. The Fleet are the only team the Sirens have not beat this season, with Boston’s five total wins against New York counting as the most by any PWHL team against a single opponent this season.

The Sirens lost in overtime to the Charge last week, 5-4, and are winless in their last eight games. It is the longest winless streak in the PWHL this season. The Sirens have scored first during this streak just once, the last meeting with the Fleet (SOL on Feb. 23, 3-2).

Alex Carpenter and Sarah Fillier both assisted on Abby Roque’s goal to send the game to overtime last week. It was the ninth time Carpenter and Fillier have both been credited with a point on the same goal this season, tied for the second most of any PWHL duo (Daryl Watts and Hannah Miller lead the way with 10 goals combined on).

Fillier has produced offensively in all nine of New York’s road games this season (4G, 10A). Roque (4G, 4A) and defender Ella Shelton (5G, 3A) are also riding seven-game point streaks on the road. The only time Carpenter (6G, 5A) has been held off the scoresheet in eight games on the road was Jan. 31 in Boston when she suffered an upper-body injury.

Jessie Eldridge has scored in two straight games against Boston and has five points (3G, 2A) in her last five games.

The Fleet return to the Tsongas Center for the first time in 16 days and have won five straight games out of the six played in their primary home venue. Boston’s seven home games are the fewest in the PWHL but have produced a league-high .762 points percentage.

Boston lost in overtime on the road at Montréal over the weekend. The Fleet were held to a season-low 17 shots on goal in the game. Boston is 0-0-1-4 when recording 20 or fewer shots on goal this season (6-5-2-2 otherwise).

Amanda Pelkey scored the Fleet’s first goal Saturday in Montréal after a neutral-zone turnover. It was the seventh unassisted goal by the Fleet this season, which is second most in the PWHL behind the Sceptres (11). Pelkey has scored a goal in each of her last two games after just one goal in her first 39 career PWHL games.

Sidney Morin scored in the second period against Montréal. It was the 10th goal by a Boston defender this season, the second most by any PWHL team behind the Sirens (11).

Hilary Knight has produced in all five games against New York this season and leads the head-to-head series with seven points (2G, 5A). Alina Müller has faced the Sirens four times and has five points (2G, 3A) in those games.

Tonight is the sixth game between the teams and will be the first PWHL regular-season series to end.

WHAT THEY’RE SAYING

“We’ve had a week to work together and fine-tune some of our details and I am proud of this group’s resilience and how we continue to show up every day. I think for us it’s focusing on the good and what each of us can contribute to make our team successful. We know Boston is a physical team and that is a part of our identity. We still have an opportunity in these last 10 games of the season – and I know this group is going to give and do everything we can.” - Sirens alternate captain Ella Shelton.

“I think going into tonight we are looking to maintain some of the elements that have brought us success this season. We want to play fast, physical and continue to generate those offensive opportunities.” - Fleet rookie forward Shay Maloney.

WEDNESDAY’S GAME: It’s Boston’s Women’s Empowerment Month Unity Game featuring a rally towel giveaway courtesy of Massachusetts 250.
