This Women's Empowerment Month, we are celebrating the women shaping the future both on and off the ice as part of our Unity Games series. This series is dedicated to bringing together players, fans and communities. Join us in our efforts to to inspire future generations of women to continue breaking barriers and achieving success.

The unique artwork and logo design is created by Fiorella Granda, a Toronto-based designer and illustrator. The design represents a powerful story of celebration, community, and inclusivity. It is a tribute to the resilience, strength, and unity of women in sports, symbolizing the ongoing fight for equality and visibility in sports.

In-Game Activations:

  • Player Walk-Ins: Players will arrive wearing Women’s Empowerment Month shirts, featuring Fiorella’s logo—a powerful emblem that goes beyond celebrating women’s achievements in hockey. It represents the ongoing fight for equality, visibility, and progress in sports.
  • Job Shadow Program – Women in Sports: A select group of women aspiring to work in sports will have the opportunity to job shadow key New York Sirens staff throughout the game. Participants will follow Sirens staff members handling Game Presentation, Communications, Ticketing & Sales, and Social Media.
  • Team USA Women’s Parahockey Players – Locker Room & Puck Drop: Four members of USA Women’s Parahockey team will read the starting lineups in the locker room, offering words of encouragement to the players before the game. They will also be stationed in the tunnel for high-fives as the New York Sirens players hit the ice, reinforcing the connection between para and professional hockey.
  • New York Exiles Rugby

    In celebration of their inaugural season, New York’s Women’s Elite Rugby team, the New York Exiles, will be in attendance to “Sound the Siren” and officially kick off the game. They will also be featured in an in-game interview during the 1st period TV timeout, helping bring awareness to their team and women’s rugby in the city.

  • NYC Women's Hockey League

    Representatives and players from the NYC Women’s Hockey League will be present, highlighting opportunities for women to play hockey at all levels. NYC Women's Hockey League will also have a dedicated space on the concourse to connect with NYC’s thriving women’s hockey community, featuring opportunities for new players to get involved and grow the game.

Rosie the Hockey Player

  • The PWHL and the PWHLPA are partnering with author Jenna M. Prestidge on the launch of her seventh book in the bestselling series “Rosie the Hockey Player: The History of Women’s Hockey”, which celebrates the achievements of the many women who have helped grow the game of hockey. The book will be released on March 8, International Women’s Day, and available for purchase only on the PWHL Shop through the end of March. A donation will be made to benefit Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities and Women's Sports Foundation.
