We are proud to celebrate Black History Month - as part of our Unity Games series - to highlight the impact and legacy of our Black athletes and communities on and off the ice.

The vibrant artwork featured on our Black History Month logo is created by Kezna Dalz, a Montréal-based multidisciplinary artist. Known for her bold use of color and ability to transform difficult subjects into accessible and inviting imagery, Kezna’s unique artistic style captures the spirit of resilience, community, and joy that resonates throughout Black history and culture — on and off the ice.

SIRENS @ CHARGE

The Charge celebrated Black History Month on Feb. 26, 2025, when they hosted the Sirens at TD Place. The Unity Game included a variety of activations designed to recognize the importance of Black history, while highlighting Black voices and organizations.

    A non-profit organization focused on breaking down barriers for Black women, their families, and allies in hockey. Through financial aid, scholarships, mentorship, and safe community spaces, BGHC Canada supports and uplifts Black players in the sport while actively working to make hockey more inclusive.
